Interior Stair Railing Installation in Massachusetts
Interior stair railings, loft guards, and handrails for homes and commercial interiors, built in Everett and installed around finished floors and existing stairs.
Interior railing installs

Stairs, lofts, and open edges
Interior railings have to feel finished at arm’s length. We fabricate steel and cable guards for residential stairs, loft edges, office atriums, and retail stairs. The bracket, the weld, and the finish are detailed before install so the crew is not grinding next to a completed floor any longer than necessary.
Handrails on existing stairs are a separate, smaller scope: graspable profiles, brackets, and returns. Guardrails at an open side are a different piece of metal. We price them as what they are.
Materials inside the building
Interior work can be powder coat, oil-rubbed finishes, or cable. Cable wants stiffer end posts. Painted steel wants the coating done in the shop, with touch-up planned for field welds.
If the stair itself is part of the job, see architectural staircases and spiral staircases. A rail-only project can stay on this page.
Working in occupied buildings
Many interior installs happen in houses and buildings that are already in use. We plan protection, access, and the sequence with the owner or the GC. Send photos of the stair, the open edge, and the floor finish so the quote includes the real conditions.
FAQ
Can you add a rail to a stair that never had one?
Yes. We measure the stair, the brackets, and the wall or the open side, then fabricate a handrail or guard that fits those conditions.
Do interior rails need shop drawings?
On commercial and architect-led jobs, yes. On a straightforward house stair we still measure and confirm the profile before we build it.
What finishes do you use inside?
Powder coat and specialty finishes. We match a sample when you have one.
